The Idea Bureau

Studio update: What we’ve been up to for August 2025

It’s been a busy month for us here at TIB – a little unusual for August, as it’s the summer holidays, but we’re not complaining. Alongside enjoying the sunshine, we’ve launched an amazing website project for our clients, The Resilience Project, holding discovery workshops, and talking to prospective clients about new projects on the horizon. We’re already booking work in for 2026, which is amazing!

Our latest project launch: The Resilience Project

We’ve just launched a new project with our lovely clients, The Resilience Project, an organisation helping young change makers to navigate climate anxiety and burnout to do just that: make change. The new website has been very well received, with some amazing feedback from their wider team and some of their users.

“It was a pleasure to work with The Idea Bureau! The team are kind, patient and go above and beyond to deliver an incredible end product. Their expertise was evident and their advice excellent in every phase of the process, from the initial discovery workshop right through to post-launch support. I couldn’t recommend working with the team more!”

Roberta Hollis, Marketing & Communications Lead – The Resilience Project

We can’t wait to keep working with them on this in the future!

Discovery workshops

To begin our journey with a new client, we’ve entered into an intense discovery phase, facilitating a series of workshops with various teams across the organisation to help us best understand the constraints of their current website. These sessions also allow us to discover what requirements they have for their new website, as well as any opportunities that we can make the most of. To make things a little more lighthearted and fun, we start off some of our workshops by having a little sketching session as an ice breaker – this helps put everyone at ease during the workshops, which allows them to feel more comfortable sharing ideas and any issues they’re facing with their website or app.

The client is a human rights organisation based in America and everyone we’ve worked with there so far has been very receptive to the conversations we’ve been having. While it’s been a full on few weeks, their feedback has been incredible. There have been some fantastic ideas suggested and we’ve reviewed the findings to ensure we have all the information possible to fulfill their needs. We’re excited to move forward with this project as the weeks progress.

In other news…

Our freelancer friend, Jess Darnes Writes ✏️, has joined us to work on our socials for the foreseeable, which is exciting! Jess has been helping us with case studies and blog posts for a couple of years, and it’s great to be expanding our collaboration together.

We’ve been having interesting conversations with prospective clients who are looking to collaborate on some new WordPress websites. We love having these kinds of conversations – they provide great insight into what charities and non-profits are doing and the problems they’re looking to overcome by working with an agency like ours.

Our Technical Director, Ben, has been working on data migration for a client of ours based in India. They have a sizeable website that we’re in the middle of redesigning, and as part of that work, Ben is automating the content migration to the new website. This is an important step, as some clients may assume it’s a costly and time-consuming task; however, it doesn’t have to be. Making the process of moving a client’s content as smooth as possible, helping them understand the process, and providing reassurance for them is something we pride ourselves on.

It’s been a bit of a heatwave over the last couple of months 🥵 We’ve been enjoying all the lovely summer sun ☀️ but think we’re ready for the slight autumn chill that’s just started creeping in. Our adorable mascot, Monty (Tash’s lovely doggo), has been enjoying his paddling pool, keeping cool in the heat.

We hope you have a fab bank holiday and look forward to all that September is bringing.

What’s coming up for us next month

  • Tash will be getting stuck into the design phase of the website project for the US-based human rights organisation
  • Ben will be deep diving into the development of a website for an eye care organisation based in India

Take care!
