Studio update: What we’ve been up to – April to June 2026

Wow, that was a busy few months! We’ve been a bit quiet with regards to updates lately, but we’ve got a lot to tell you about. It was a scorcher of a week last week and hit 39°c in some parts of the UK 🥵☀️🔥, but we kept calm, cool and carried on.

It seems like ages ago now, but we had a great break over Easter and the May bank holiday. We’ve been busy working away behind the scenes with lots of project launches, which is why we’ve been a bit quieter than usual.

Our latest projects:

Below are a few projects that have launched in the last few months. It’s really gratifying to have them out in the world and to see how their users engage with them.

L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI)

This large project has been a long time in the making. However, we couldn’t be more pleased with how it’s turned out. The L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) website is a large WordPress project that’s revolutionised their existing setup: previously, their website was extremely dated, making it incredibly hard to update and fragile to work with. They also had a lot of additional microsites the team had created for certain things, as it was easier than trying to update their main website.

We’ve worked with the team to consolidate all of this information into one website that now performs well for their different user types and highlights all the services they have to offer. It’s been incredible to see this come to life, considering the scale of the project and the impact it’s already had for people.

“When we set out to build a new website, we were hoping it would reflect the values and brand promise of our organisation. Ben and Tash at The Idea Bureau understood our needs from the very beginning and helped us achieve a website that we are proud of.”

Tejah Balantrapu
Associate Director of Science, Health Data and Story Telling at LVPEI

Global Summit website for IAPB

We’ve done quite a bit of work for International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), first with their Vision Atlas and now their new Global Summit website. It’s been really exciting to put it live: built in WordPress, its primary goal is to promote the global eye health summit that’s due to take place later in the year. Having worked with IAPB on multiple projects now, it’s been most exciting getting to work with their various brands to create engaging websites for their audiences.

“The Discovery Session with The Idea Bureau was thoughtful, relaxed and they facilitated an easy space to share ideas openly. Their structured approach helped us clarify priorities, surface challenges and think creatively about what the Global Summit for Eye Health website can achieve before, during, and beyond the event.”

Courtenay Holden
Head of Communications & Campaigns at IAPB

Synergy Cloud website

In April, we finished the redesign of the Synergy website for Claims Consortium Group. We’d created the previous version of the site in Webflow many years ago, and CCG approached us to redesign it for WordPress, as well as refreshing the brand to give it a lighter feel. It’s a relatively basic brochure website that uses some lovely design elements, including bespoke patterns and illustrations.

“This is the third large website project I’ve done with Ben and Tash at The Idea Bureau because they are so great to work with. They make the whole process easy from start to finish, bringing structure where it’s needed, but always staying flexible enough to adapt as things evolve and change, as is often the case with projects like this.

The end result speaks for itself: a brand and website we’re really proud of and does justice to where our product is today. It’s the perfect foundation for the next phase of our marketing; I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a one-off website or ongoing support.”

In other news…

Things have been ticking along nicely while we’ve been beavering away. Some new developments to tell you about include:

  • We’ve welcomed a collaborator onto the team – Ada Banaszak, a freelance Developer – to help with our Bureau+ service offering. She’ll be working with us for a week every month to assist in supporting our clients that sign up to the service, making sure we can serve them even better than before!
  • Two of our clients – IAPB Global Summit and LVPEI – have transitioned over to Bureau+ following the launches of their projects, so we can support them on an ongoing basis.
  • We’ve had lovely chats with some prospective clients recently, with a number of exciting new projects on the horizon over the next few months.

Our latest blog posts

We’ve got two new blog posts for you in this update. Both articles look into aspects of project management, and share ways to put you and your team on the best footing to embark on a new website project or update.

Away from the keyboard…

It’s not ‘all work and no play.’ We like to promote a good work/life balance, so going forward, we thought we’d share a little bit of what we get up to outside office hours.

Tash:

  • I’ve been taking some time to enjoy the garden and have been doing some vegetable planting – it’s been super productive, and we already have a glut of potatoes and courgettes (check out the photos below).
  • For the last two years, my partner and I have been renovating our home. Most recently, we’ve finished the kitchen and hallway; our next project is updating the bathroom before we request planning permission to transform the front of the house.
  • We’ve had lots of great walks in the warmer weather with TIB studio mascot doggo, Monty – he’s been loving keeping cool in the water during this hot spell.

Ben:

  • My family and I spent a weekend exploring Cornwall, staying in a woodland cabin. It was a relaxing visit, with the chance to experience the beautiful coastline towns of Looe and Polperro.
  • Recently, I’ve been getting out on my road bike more. I’ve been on some of my longest rides, including cycling 60km from Exeter to my hometown of Taunton, as well as a 100km cycle from Bristol. I’ve really enjoyed exploring the countryside and getting off the beaten track.
  • We celebrated a wedding in Bath, enjoying the company of family and friends, and exploring the sights and sounds on offer.

What’s coming up for us next month:

  • It’s been a bit quiet on the newsletter front from us, but fear not! Bureau for Good ’s not gone; we’ve been taking some time to revamp it, adding more of a personal touch and ensuring the content we share includes a good balance of themes. We’ll also be sending out BfG monthly from now on (instead of twice a month), so we can make it a well-curated and relevant resource for our readers.
  • We’ve been progressing our work on our next big WordPress charity project for US-based Human Rights charity, WITNESS.
  • As part of our ongoing collaboration, we’ve been making a series of improvements to the websites of some of our existing clients, including:
  • Despite having been slacking somewhat on LinkedIn, due to our recent project launches, we’re upping our social media game and are looking forward to connecting with our audiences again!
